Accessibility
Everyone is welcome at Exmouth Pavilion and we will do our best to ensure that everyone has a great time. Team members are available to help, so please ask us if you need any assistance.
There is level access throughout the building to the foyer, toilets, auditorium and café/bar.
We do have a limited number of spaces in dedicated areas for wheelchair users. To ensure any special requirements you have are met, we ask that all guests who use a wheelchair, are registered disabled or have specific seating or access requests please DO NOT BOOK ONLINE. Call our Box Office team on 01395 222477 and they’ll do their best to help you.
A hearing induction loop is sometimes available for those with hearing aids. Equally, we can provide disposable ear buds on request.
As most shows appear here only once, unfortunately we aren’t often able to provide BSL performances. If this service is provided it will be listed in the event description.
Sometimes a performance may use strobe lighting, haze machines and pyrotechnics. If you have a medical condition that may be affected by these, please ask us for advice prior to booking your tickets.
Registered Assistance dogs are very welcome.
Ticket, transaction & delivery fees
You can either purchase tickets online, by telephone or in person by calling into the Box Office. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable unless a show is to cancel.
Where possible, you will be able to choose your own seats but as a general rule we do not allow single seats to be left unoccupied when you are booking. As most bookings these days are for 2 or more people it is hard for us to fill lots of single seats, and so our website will not let you leave an empty seat between booked seats or at the end of a row. If you require specific seating for accessibility reasons, please call the Box Office.
Online
If you purchase your tickets online you will be able to print your tickets at home or just bring the confirmation on your phone with you on the evening.
In Person
Our Box Office is open daily between the hours of 9am and 5pm. On show nights, the box office will be open until 15 minutes after the show starts in order for you to collect your tickets and allow for any latecomers. After that time the box office will close and you won’t be able to collect tickets.
By Telephone
You can call the Box Office on 01395 222477 during opening hours. We accept most debit and credit cards and we also take cash.
Postage Fee
if you require tickets posting out to you we can do that for a postage and processing fee of £2.50, and your tickets will be sent out by 2nd class mail. Alternatively customers can opt to collect their tickets from the Box Office at no charge. Tickets purchased for events less than 7 days away will be retained at the Box Office for collection.
Transaction Fee
All bookings are subject to a transaction fee of £2 for the whole booking, not per ticket
Exchange Seat Fee and Ticket reprinting
If once you have purchased your tickets you ask to exchange to other seats, if that seat is available we will reprint your ticket for a £1 fee. Same applies if you lose your tickets. We are happy to reprint them for you, but a £1 fee per ticket will be charged.
Ticket Protection
Currently all tickets are non-refundable unless a show cancels. However you are able to purchase ticket refund protection at the same time you buy your tickets, vie secure-my-booking. There is an additional fee of £2 per ticket and you can add this to your shopping cart at checkout. This is provided by Secure My Booking a 3rd party service and any claims will be made by you directly to them.
Resales
Resales can only be offered once a show has sold out. In order for us to resell your tickets they must be returned to the venue to be placed for resale.
The venue makes no guarantee that tickets placed for resale will be sold.
An admin fee of £5 applies for this service.
Should we resell your tickets for you, your customer account will be credited with the ticket amount (minus admin fee). We will not issue a refund.
Resale tickets are only available to purchase by contacting the Box Office directly, they will not appear on online seating plans.
Concessions
Sometimes concessionary rate tickets are available to children, full-time students, senior citizens (those in receipt of state pension) and those who are registered disabled.
Please note these may vary dependant on show. Discounts and special offers may be limited or subject to availability and are at the discretion of the Box Office Supervisor. Unless otherwise stated, concessions and discounts cannot be combined or used in conjunction with other offers.
Gift Vouchers & Account Credits
Pavilion Gift Vouchers make an ideal gift. Simply choose how much you’d like to buy, and you’ll get a gift voucher ticket. There is no minimum spend.
Gift vouchers for any of our events, and don’t need to be spent all at once. They must however be used within 12 months from the date of purchase.
If you have a credit on your account for a ticket resale or rescheduled show this is also valid for a 12 month period.
If that balance remains unused by the time the gift voucher expires, that credit will be donated to our charitable trust and put towards our work within the community.
Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
FAQ
Where available, and unless otherwise stated, when you purchase 9 tickets, you will be given a 10th one free of charge. This discount is only available when booking all the tickets together.
Children under the age of 18 months can be admitted to children’s shows without a paid for ticket, but parents/guardians must obtain a special ticket from the Box Office and the child must sit on the lap of the parent/guardian. Exmouth Pavilion is a family friendly venue and we are happy to assist wherever possible, but must also consider our other guests enjoyment of the theatre and ensure they are not disrupted during performances. With that in mind, for all other shows we kindly request you contact the Box Office in advance to ascertain whether a performance is deemed to be suitable for young children, by the Management of the Exmouth Pavilion.
Unfortunately fire regulations dictate that pushchairs, prams and car seats cannot be taken into the Auditorium. For a place to store your pushchair please see our Duty Manager.
You can give your tickets to friend or family should you be unable to attend. If your tickets are being held at the Box Office those using them will need to be able to quote your details to be able to collect your tickets.
If you lose your tickets then we can reprint them for you for a fee of £1 per ticket.
Seating is really a personal preference. Our auditorium has no columns or pillars and so all our seats have great viewing. Half of the seating is flat, and the other half- tiered seating, which along with aisle seats would be the most popular. The seating plan can be found on the booking page for each show.
Row N has a wider space in front. Seats that are on the end of an aisle also provide additional leg room.
Both our ladies and disabled persons toilets are equipped with baby change facilities.
Unless you are invited by the artise to take photos/record video we ask that you do not use any form of recording equipment in the auditorium. This is due to both safeguarding and production copyright. Failure to comply may result in your removal from the auditorium.
Drinks from our bar can be taken into the auditorium as long as they are in plastic cups. Under no circumstances are you allowed to bring your own drinks onto the premises.
We do get inundated with requests for prize donations for fundraising events. Unfortunately, as much as we would love to, we can’t help everyone. All charity requests must be submitted in writing (preferably on headed paper or with a covering letter) to: jcass@exmouthpavilion.co.uk
We have free public WiFi (subject to technical availability)
Please send all programming enquiries to
info@exmouthpavilion.co.uk
All vacancies are listed on our Careers & Volunteering page. Here you’ll find information about how to apply – via CV and covering letter.
Our seasonal brochures are published three times a year. We no longer send a brochure out in the mail. You can find an E-brochure here on the website, and we keep some physical copies at Exmouth Pavilion.
